protecting her struggle to understand what happened and what
will happen. Then a shepherd arrives, one who had been present
at the birth of Christ, and he, too tries to make sense out of
all that has gone before. Then Mary's sister runs up with the
news that Christ is risen.

This is a one-act allegory with a cast
of three men and three women who, through short scenes and black-out
sketches, depicts a community's preparation for the wedding feast
of their King's Son. The play examines in contemporary style
the various negative responses to the King's Invitation. It follows
the parable of the wedding feast, the punishment of those refulsing
to attend and the gate crasher who showed up refusing

a newspaper and his wife is working a crossword puzzle. Biblical
characters are spotlighted in very small vignettes that are triggered
by the wife asking her husband for answers to the puzzle with
